Red Curry
“Red Curry” is a street photography project developed during my travels across India. The project reflects my observations of everyday life within a country shaped by strong social contrasts, cultural diversity, and an intense visual atmosphere.
Moving through different regions and environments, I photographed people and situations encountered in passing moments — fragments of daily life that reveal gesture, presence, and individual character beyond stereotypes or simplified narratives.
The title serves as a metaphor for the layered and often contradictory nature of the environments presented in the project — places that can feel vibrant and difficult, chaotic and quiet, overwhelming and intimate at the same time.
I never asked the people in these photographs to perform or explain themselves. The images are built around observation and the possibility of connection through looking rather than direct narrative.
Rather than offering fixed interpretations, the project leaves space for personal reflection and emotional response, allowing viewers to engage with the images through their own experience and perception.
