Natalia Roshchenko
PHOTOGRAPHER | BRUSSELS, BELGIUM
I’ve always been fascinated by the diversity of people, and with the discovery of photography, I found my language to express my interests and love towards the people and their stories. My work revolves around the exploration of national identities and individual personas through portrait and street photography.
I currently live and work in Brussels, continuing to develop my creative projects and deepen my artistic vision.
My focus
I work in two main directions: portrait and street photography. For the last several years, I mainly worked on street photography projects, which I created during my travels around the world. Naturalism, people’s diversity and uniqueness, realism and beauty of the moment — the things I wanted to broadcast through my photographs. Nowadays, I also do a lot of portrait photography, where I apply the same principles and methods.
My work is centred on capturing moments with purpose, using colour, atmosphere, and thoughtful direction to tell meaningful stories. It’s not just about taking a good photograph—it’s about creating images that feel authentic and leave a lasting impact.
How I work
For me, photography is about capturing unique moments that tell a story and evoke feelings. I create personal portraits, documenting a concert or theatre piece or work on a street photography project, I aim to capture the real emotions and show the beauty of every person standing in front of my camera as he is, and as a result create images which connect with the viewer on a personal level.
